Geoffrey Chaucer & Co. stages Chaucer's masterpieces, superb theatrical explorations of the human comedy and condition, in modern translation with original music. The role of a board
member is to work with others to set policy, oversee the management of the company, ensure its fiscal responsibility, and actively participate in its growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Attend Board meetings
- Attend at least one performance of each production
- Actively participate in outreach to bring new audience members
- Participate actively in the management & oversight of the organization
- Make a personally significant financial contribution annually
- Accept an active role: hold office, chair or serve on a committee or task force
- Assist in the board development process
Qualifications:
- Previous board experience desirable
- Interest in and/or knowledge of theatre
- Interest in medieval history and/or the Canterbury Tales and/or literature
- Non-profit experience a plus
